Directions: I-25 from Albuquerque, take Exit 347, I-25 from Las Vegas and south, take Exit 343 to Old Sante Fe Trail. The Plaza is the square block at Lincoln Avenue, East Palace Avenue and San Francisco Street.
The Palace of the Governors was completed in 1610 and has served as headquarters for six different governments. It is the New Mexico State Historical Museum.
The Colonial Dames' Collection of Spanish Colonial Artifacts has been given to the Palace and is on permanent display. This collection is enhanced annually by the New Mexico Society.
