Lecture and Victorian Seance at the Hermann-Grima House

In partnership with the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival, the Hermann-Grima House will host a lecture on Spiritualism in 19th-Century New Orleans followed by a Victorian-style seance on March 23 at 3:00 p.m. Historian Melissa Daggett will team with spiritual medium Juliet Pazera to interpret the supernatural rituals popular among 19th-century Creoles of color in the years preceding the Civil War through Reconstruction. The event, to be held in the parlor of the Hermann-Grima House, is sure to offer untold surprises. Tickets will be $20 and will be offered for sale through the Festival website: http://www.tennesseewilliams.net.  Seats at the seance table will be auctioned off as part of the 2017 Amazing Grapes fundraiser.
