Predominant Motif: Sampler consists of two joined pieces. The horizontal bands of inscription are between the upper and lower sections which are densely worked with dozens of small spot motifs including; a female figure, a mermaid, a male figure, a person on horseback, a reindeer, a couple holding hands, an owl, other birds, a lion, smaller animals, insects, and stylized flowers. Three edges are finished with buttonhole stitch and there is a selvedge at the top.
