Prism NYC featuring Van Cortlandt House

Prism NYC is a curated showcase of both new programs and returning favorites, highlighting the many layers of New York City’s history, culture, lifestyle, nature, and communities. Within the series, In the House takes audiences inside NYC’s oldest surviving homes to uncover the complex and often difficult stories held within their walls. Set at Van Cortlandt House, operated by NSCDA-NY, the program explores how landowning families, enslaved people, and later waves of immigrants lived under the same roof, shaping the city we know today. Stockings for Veterans

Despite the challenges of weather and illness forcing the cancellation of the Patriotic Service Committee event, Chair Linn Krikorian ensured that the Veterans project was completed with dedication and care. Thanks to her efforts, Veterans at the VA Medical Center in Manchester received festive red stockings filled with thoughtful, practical gifts. Linn personally purchased fabric and hand-sewed the stockings, carefully selected patriotic mugs as suggested by VA staff, and gathered additional gifts to make each package special. She then delivered all 21 stockings to the VAMC on behalf of the New Hampshire Dames, ensuring that our commitment to honoring Veterans remained strong.
