- 2 alphabets: uppercase block: missing J, q not Q plus ampersand. Numbers 1-11. All done in central saw tooth cartouche. Strawberry and other cross bands in upper third. Basket of flowers at bottom with two tall cedar(?) trees on each side. The paired leaves at the center are a hallmark for Canterbury samplers. Elaborate embroidered border with birds, flowers, trees on both sides. Hem stitched all four sides.
