- 1 alphabet at top: uppercase script, missing J. Followed by additional letters: BCSSJO. In an oval cartouche in the center: A female stands next to a monument. Her left hand rests on the top. Trees on either side. At center top an angel, with a bird in flight on L and a peacock on R. Across the bottom a village with a church, a tree, a house, a church, a tree. Floral border up both sides and across the top. *Note: there were two churches in Prospect in the 1830's - one Congregational and one Methodist. It is possible that these are the churches depicted in the sampler.
