- A large willow tree stands behind a large obelisk on the L and a tomb with a large urn on top on the R. A woman dressed in a long black dress kneels between both leaning on the taller monument. Smaller trees are on the L and R and a painted sky above.

- (On the tomb on the L): Consecrated / to / the remains / of / Mr. THOMAS MANN / who departed this life / June 20th, 1809 aged 52 / years and 6 months / No pang / Like that of human torn from / Bosom, bleeding o'er the sacred dead / also / Mrs. REBECCA MANN who died March 19th, 1837, aged / 76 years, and 1 month. // (On the smaller tomb on the R): Consecrated to the remains / of / Mr. STEPHEN MANN, / who was drowned July 22nd, 1810 / aged 17 years 6 months and 30 day. / (Note: It is most likely that this sampler was done circa 1811 after the death of the father and son with the additional information added after the death of the mother in 1837.) //
