Notes
Second edition, 1709, pg 230: https://archive.org/details/bim_eighteenth-century_hymns-and-spiritual-song_watts-isaac_1709/page/n253/mode/2up?q=%22mortal+frame%22&view=theater Verse also stitched by: Evans, Sylliana*, 1809, Pine Grove School (possibly Burlington, NJ), pg. 155. Bolton & Coe list the maker as "Tulliana Evans" but research showed that it is probably 'Syllania'. A sampler by Rachel B. Evans, Pine Grove School, Upper Evesham, Burlington County, New Jersey, 1813 was sold by Sotheby’s and lists a sister’s sampler from Pine Grove named Syllania. https://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/ecatalogue/2008/important-americana-n08400/lot.200.html “Rachel Evans and her sister Syllania both worked samplers at the Pine Grove School which was east of present-day Medford in Evesham Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.  They were daughters of Jacob Evans (b.1755) and his second wife, Rachel Borton (1774-1844).  Their father was a trustee of the Pine Grove School, which was formerly assigned to Charles City County, Virginia (Bolton and Coe, p.387) Sylliana Evans shares the same birth date and parents, as our “Tuliana Evans” stitched into her sampler: https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/details/K6SX-QSB. All further facts on this family agree and prove that these girls are one and the same. Published in the first edition of 1707, which is only present on the internet in text format: https://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/13341/pg13341-images.html
