- “THE YOUTHS MANUEL, &C”
In the short season of thy youth,
In natures smiling bloom
Ere age a’rives & trembling
Waits its Summons to the Tomb
Remember thy Creator God
For him thy powers employ
Make him they fear they love
Thy hope thy confidence & joy.

The Hymn’s first line is “In the soft season of thy Youth.”
The title line of the sampler “The Youths Manuel, &C” may come from the poems inclusion in a later book, but was not found.
