- 4 alphabets: last one is very ornate and ends with N. Various cross bands both wide and narrow. The middle of the sampler is filled with various motifs including crowns and coronets, trees, potted plants, baskets of flowers. At the bottom a two story house with many attached buildings set on a large field area bordered by trees with domestic animals and birds. Reversing arcaded carnation border all four sides with a square with a flower in each corner. The mansion was called Stob Cross and was owned by Mr. John Philips.
