A large house at the bottom with two chimneys. A bench is in front with a fence on each side with perching birds. A tree on the L and two on the R. Two wide cross bands. A large vase with flowers on each side at the top and in the center. Elaborate reversing arcaded flower border all four sides.
Inscription
(At the top): Dear Saviour Oh what ails this Heart / Sure tis of Stone it cannot Smart / Nor yet relent the Death of thee / / Whose Death alone could ransom me / Can I behold the Pains so great / Thy dying Sigh the bloodys wear / Canst thou Pour forth such Streams for me / And I not drop one Tear for thee / / (In the center): Virtue the Chiefest beauty of the mind / The noblest Ornament of humankind / Virtue our safeguard and our guiding star / That stars up Reason when our Services err / Behold ye Fare ye lovely Queen / This not her Jewls but her Mind / A meaker Pure near was seen / It is her virtue charms Mankind / (At the bottom): Sarah Thornthwaite Work done in the Year of our Lord 1807 //
