- (At the top): For God doth say in Old and in Young the first step to Virtue is to bridle the tongue / For he who here have made God his friend shall never want when time is at an end / / Let me be Wise in Youth O Lord that to I fate may tread the I ought to go / Lead me & learn me what is right & just Fear in thy help my God I place my trust / (In the center): THE LORDS PRAYER / PATERNAL GOD and Author of our frame / Thy kingdom come & hallowed by thy name / Thy will be done in earth as in the sky / Our daily wants with daily bread supply / As we our debtors their debts forgive / Guard us from vice & teach us how to live / So shall thy kingdom in our bosoms shine / Thine be the power & all the Glory thine / AMEN / With all thy Soul love God above / And as thy Self thy Neighbour Love / Learn what is Good make God thy End For he will always be thy Friend / Shun all bad Ways love Truth and then You will be Loved by all Good Men / You will be blest on Earth and when you die You sure will Dwell with God on high / (Across the bottom): Ann Rowley her Work Finished Jan ry the 17 1775
