- 1 upper case alphabet: missing both the J and U, with ampersand. Wide and narrow cross bands. A group of Boston samplers worked between 1760 and 1790 feature motifs found on the Fishing Lady pictures. A seated shepherdess, 5 white and 1 black sheep, a male with a pole, dog, and trio of sheep-two white and one black, deer, birds, trees, a house in the background. Reversing arcaded acorn and leaf border all four sides.
