- 1 alphabet: no J. Sampler is divided into two panels. The upper panel has a basket of flowers, floral and animal motifs. At the center bottom Adam & Eve, dressed in padded loin cloths, turn away from a serpent coiled around a large tree set on a green lawn. Soaring birds, typical of east cost NJ samplers, dive at the tree. On the L a dwelling with a classical garden, on the R a dwelling with a fenced yard. At each corner stitched at an angle is a two handled urn with a single flower. Multi colored diamond border all four sides.
