- A square Hollie point sampler with large square, circular and one rectangular shape of various geometric cut work lace and stitched designs. A hollie point or broderie anglais sampler. (Note): stitches are made and the material is then pulled, or cut away, to make a lacy effect. Used in the mid 1800's to decorate women's and children's clothing). Various cross bands. Reversing arcaded strawberry border across the top and bottom and an arcaded acorn border on both sides.
