- Barker family record done in a rectangle surrounded by a large rose, rosebud and leaf border. (Note: in American Samplers page 124, this sampler is listed as being done by Mary Jane Barker. While all the information is the same, the size and name is wrong. It is our belief that the sampler was done by Mary Jane's twin sister Flavilla. If not, there is an identical sampler out there somewhere).
