- Inscription
- God bless my tender mother dear / And happy may she be / I never can give her recompense / For what she's done for me / I had a father in the dust / His mouldering body lies / I had a father but I trust / His spirit is in the skies / I had a father kind and true / whose face no more I see / You who have fathers kind to you / A moment think on me / Save me o lord from vanity and pride / In paths of truth my erring footsteps guide / (Across the bottom) HANNAH BROADBENT FINISHED THIS WORK FEBRUARY 20 1839
