A large basket of grapes, strawberries and flowers sits on a raised platform at the bottom. Above the verse a large central rose with rose and rosebud spray emanating on both sides. Inner saw tooth border with an flowing arcaded carnation border all four sides.

(In a octagonal cartouche in the upper center): Jesus permit thy sacred name to (above) stand / As the first effort of a youthful hand / And as her fingers o'er the canvas move / Engage her tender heart to seek thy love / (At the bottom): Respectfully presented to Samuel and Elizabeth Baker / by their affectionate daughter Margaret Baker 1835
