3 alphabets: each complete all done in a saw tooth rectangle with flower sprays on each side and small partial cross bands. Across the bottom a panel with a centered bird on a branch with a large flower display on R and L and small baskets of fruit or flowers. A single line starts at the bottom and enlarges to become the border of alternating tulips and rosebuds meeting w carnation at the center top. A ribbon sewed around all.
Inscription
(In the upper rectangle): There is a calm for those who weep. / A rest for weary pilgrim's found, / They softly lie and sweetly sleep, / Low in the ground. / (In the lower panel): Rachel Williams Work / Maryland. / 1827
