- 3 alphabets. Numbers 1-12. A wide cross band near the center with flowered spray in the center with a chicken, a tree and a dog on either side. A wide cross band near the bottom has a center plant, a tree, a bird, a dog, a lion, a diamond on the L and a reclining stag, a small plant a bird, a hear and a dog on the R. Reversing arcaded border with various flowers and strawberries. (Note: this sampler is closely related to one worked by Charlotte Hough in 1799 done with teacher Sarah Shoemaker)
