- A milking scene in a summer landscape. Slightly to the L of center is a standing woman, she holds a basket of flowers in her R hand and has a large flat basket, or hat, with flowers, grapes and grapevines balanced on her head. To the L are two sheep and a goat, laying down. To the R a woman kneels down with a bucket to milk a standing cow. Another cow is laying down on the far R. In the distance is a small sailing vessel on a pond with trees in the background. Hair, faces, arms and hands on female figure are hand-painted. The sky is light blue satin-woven silk.
