In the upper half of sampler is a brick two story house with two chimneys, double front door, two large fir trees on L and R, a large green lawn. Next are three alphabets. Various stitched lines. Reversing arcaded carnation border across the bottom with a small rose bud border up both sides and across the top.
Inscription
(On bottom L): To thee Almighty God, to thee / Our childhood we resign / Twill please us to look back and see / That our whole lives were thine / (On bottom R): Let the sweet work of prayer & praise, / Employ my youngest breath / Thus we're prepar'd for longer days, / Or fit for early death. / Susanna Bromwells work done in her 11th year 1820 //
