(On L): Learn little Maid, each useful art / That may adorn thy Youth. / Learn to improve thy tender heart, In Virtue, Grace and Truth. / (On L): Shun ev'ry Vice, with studious care. / Each female folly flee, / that ev'ry grace that crowns the Fair, / May e'er attend on thee. (In center): If Age or Sickness should invade, / Or Beauty's charms decrease, / Still Virtue's charms no time can fade, / the Soul shall rest in Peace. // // Elizabeth Johnson Aged 7 Years. 1827
