Bolton and Coe attribute this hymn to Tate and Brady’s “Hymnal.” Its true author was Isaac Watts. However, it was included in a 1757 edition of Tate and Brady’s New Version of the Psalms of David, as Hymn XXXIII, verses 1 and 4, just as they cite on page 28.
