About
Senator John Brown built this home for his second son, Orlando (1801-1867). This home is one of the few surviving examples of domestic architecture by Gideon Shryock (1802-1880) who is considered the father of Greek Revival architecture in Kentucky. Descendants lived here until 1955 when it was deeded to the Kentucky Society and opened to the public.National Register of Historic Places
